The difficulties with fuel that people require to heat the houses in winter strictly emerged in the XX century. Squared timber and beam carcasses don't already suit nowadays' demands in energy efficiency. Europeans approved strict rules for thermal shielding of houses that may be provided only owing to effectual heat insulating matters. There are established various sizes of thicknesses for diverse kinds of walls. Brick walls must not be less than 150 centimeters, squared timber walls - 50 centimeters and only 15 centimeters for wooden framework walls.
This building method is considered to be a Canadian one. Frame buildings are distinguishing feature of Canadian style of architecture. The notion “sandwich” that emerged in the early 1990-s describes this feature of panel constructions.
