Emerald City is a non-profit organization that serves Ozark and Douglas Counties and the surrounding area. Supporters of Emerald City include area service providers and law enforcement agencies, organizations who provide services to victims, and individuals who provide financial and volunteer resources.
Through education, Emerald City seeks to foster respect and equality in relationships, and to change community attitudes and social structures that perpetuate violence.
Emerald City maintains a 24 hour nation wide hot-line, provides shelter, confidential advocacy, and referral services to victims of domestic violence, rape, and sexual assault. Help is available in securing financial assistance, housing, education, legal and counseling services, and in reclaiming self-direction and self-esteem regardless of race, culture, religion, social status, income, or age.
Emerald City also provides training to staff and volunteers and prevention education to area Junior and Senior High School students and to the public at large.
